HRD Inc. is a company engaged in the historical research,
archaeology, and marine excavations of America's Colonial period shipwrecks.
A privately held Florida corporation, HRD, Inc. was incorporated on
February 1, 1988.

Ernie founded HRD, Inc. on Feb. 1, 1988.
Ernie has over 30 years experience in electronics, engineering management
and is a BSEE Electronics Engineer with experience in Research &
Development as well as production environments. Ernie is General Manager of
the company and as such, acts as the companies consultant for technical
equipment and data accumulation. Ernie provides logistical
support and assists onboard as a deck hand, data recorder and
photographer when needed. |

Skip is director of our Vero Beach Project. Skip is responsible
for organizing and overseeing all exploration and dive activity
on any of HRD's State permitted sites. Skip records all dive
activity on State of Florida, Daily Log Sheets for review and
approval of HRD's Marine Archaeologist for proper recording
technique and dive site methodology. Skip maintains close
communication with local residents, who continue to watch and
report any "unusual activity" observed on HRD's east coast
site. As an Alaskan resident, Skip spends his summers in
Florida with HRD, during the most active dive season times.
Skip has been a certified scuba diver since 1963 and has enjoyed
diving in various locations throughout the world. Skip has been
with the HRD, Inc. since its inception in 1988.

Jim
is in charge of developing and maintaining the company web site. Jim
is responsible for HRD's online sales agreements and product
selection. Jim maintains his full time residency in
Michigan, where he has been a police officer for the last 14 years and a
private investigator prior to that. Jim oversees HRD's
lecture, presentation and educational displays for schools, various
organizations and historical museums. Jim
has been with the company since 1992 and has organized and participated in
various special events. As a certified scuba diver, Jim has been part of the recovery dive team since 1992. |

Marine Archaeologist |

Juliet
manages all recovery, documentation, and conservation efforts for HRD. She
received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Los Angeles
(UCLA) and her Masters of Arts from California State University Long Beach (CSULB). Juliet received the outstanding performance award from CSULB for her
significant contributions to the archaeology program, NAGPRA inventory and
research in California prehistory. She has over 7 years experience in
California archaeology and in Cultural Resource Management (CRM). Juliet has
also worked on projects in Ireland, Africa, Colorado, and Florida. Her
professional interests include coastal archaeology, exchange networks,
evolutionary theory, underwater archaeology, and public education. Upon
moving to Florida, Juliet decided to teach archaeology and history to
children and adults of all ages. She worked as education Director at the
Fort Lauderdale Historical Society and at the former Graves Museum of
Archaeology & Natural History. More recently her interests shifted to
underwater archaeology and exploration and this past year she accepted the
position of Marine Archaeologist for HRD. Juliet belongs to several
organizations including the Society for American Archaeology, Florida
Archaeological Society and the Register of Professional Archaeologists. She
has been PADI certified for over 10 years and regularly dives in the
Bahamas. Recently, she has received her pilot’s license and can be seen
flying around Florida and the Bahamas. |
